A correlation-regression analysis of .beta.-adrenergic reception, external respiratory function, cardio- and hemodynamics in 64 patients with infectious-allergic bronchial asthma, disclosed that aggravation of the .beta.-adrenergic blockade is accompanied by an increase in the respiratory minute volume and by a reduction of the respiratory reserves. This is followed by hyperdynamia of the right ventricle (shortening of the effort at the expense of the phase of asynchronous contraction, the increase in the mechanical coefficient and work performed by the right ventricle), but does not affect the function of the left ventricle.
