Combinations of diazepam plus chlorpromazine and diazepam plus propranolol were compared with diazepam alone in the treatment of tetanus in humans. The data was analyzed according to the severity of the disease. In the doses used, the combinations were not found to be superior to diazepam alone in reducing the mortality in various grades of tetanus.
