A comparative evaluation of the cerebral vasoactive effect of acephen, nuredal and saparal was done by the rheoencephalographic method. Drugs were given orally to 96 patients with chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency of atherosclerotic origin. Acephen induced moderate cerebral vasodilation, increased the volume of cerebrovascular pulse fluctuations [CVPF] and improved blood flow in cerebral veins. Nuredal and saparal decreased the CVPF and induced difficulties in venous blood outflow.
