The clinical and laboratory data of 4 patients with tricuspid anomaly associated with ventricular septal defect were analyzed. The findings were related to the importance of the ventricular septal defects which were small in 2, moderate in one and large in 1 patient. The clinical picture and the complementary examinations may approximate one or another disease, depending on its importance. Case 1 had a large ventricular septal defect. In case 2 tricuspid dysfunction predominated. In case 3 the large atrial septal defect posed an even greater difficulty for a single diagnosis.
