Of 162 outpatients (29 males, 133 females) attending a rural hospital in Kenya with urethral or vaginal discharge, 32 (20%) had Trichomonas vaginalis. All were women. 5 women had mixed T. vaginalis and Candida albicans infections, and 3 had T. vaginalis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
