A test to detect gonorrhea in the male (human) is described. The method is based on the detection of gonococcal antigens in the urethral discharge with a serum known to carry anti-gonococcal polysaccharide antibodies. The test shows 100% sensitivity on 23 culture proven cases of gonorrhea. Pathological discharges associated with other sexually transmitted diseases did not react with the anti-serum.
