A study was conducted to investigate whether minipill and micropills (pure progestin contraceptive agents) would induce anomalies in the hemostatic process. Minipills did provoke some important modifications in hemostasis; such modifications, however, were much less severe than with traditional contraceptives containing 50 mg. of estrogen. On the other hand, micropills, with the exception of lynestrenol, did not cause any change in hemostasis.
