Seminal and serum amylase levels were studied in 56 healthy individuals. Seminal amylase varied directly with the quality of semen based on seminal characteristics like sperm count and morphology. No similar relationship was observed with serum amylase. Estimation of seminal amylase may be a useful indicator for assessment of semen quality.
