The cellular kinetics of the prothoracic gland are realized in the penultimate instar nymph of A. domestica L. and during the regeneration cycle, under standard breeding conditions. These experiments show a cycle in the glandular cells in good correlation with the hormonal cycle. Regeneration involves a recovery of phenomena during wound healing and an intense proteosynthesis during the 1st intermolt.
