Nineteen patients with osseous hydatidosis (mostly of the spinal column) were treated over 13 years. 4 died and 10 became asymptomatic. The treatment consisted of curettage or resection, often repeatedly, and protracted lavage of the wound with ethacridine. 5 patients received a desensitization treatment with hydatin, but the results were indeterminate as far as the action of the drug is concerned.
