Techniques for identification of bovine lymphocyte subpopulations were evaluated. The conditions for direct fluorescence for detection of mIg RBC, bovine B lymphocytes are characterized by mIg and rosette formation with IgG antibody-coated CRBC, and simultaneous incubation of bovine lymphocytes under appropriate conditions with suitably prepared SRBC and CRBC yielded results comparable with standard T and B lymphocyte assays.
