A very high blood Pb concentration was detected in 8 print-shop workers. They also had hypochromic anemia and erythrocytosis. Their erythropoietic activity and urine .delta.-aminolevulinic acid content were increased. Also, various types of large distorted erythrocytes, a few in the shape of 4-leafed clovers, were observed in the periphery.
