Trichuris eggs were found in the faeces of a cat in Miami, Florida, USA, and after treatment with dichlorvos 6 worms identified as T. campanula were passed. Eggs collected before treatment were given orally, after embryonation, to 4 cats in doses of 500 eggs/cat. 3 of the cats began to pass eggs in the faeces after 62, 76 and 91 days.
