The essential oils of Cymbopogon caesius, C. jwarancusa, C. distans, Anaphalis contorta, Hedychium spicatum and H. spicatum var. acumiratum, Salvia lanata and Zingiber officinale all showed some activity against 2 or more bacteria pathogenic to man.
