Subclinical mastitis--a proposal for an amended definition

A more specific definition of subclinical mastitis is suggested than that existing at present. It is based on the development by certain milks of a yellow stain on milk sediment disks, in cases where damage to the glandular epithelium of the mammary gland is greater than that indicated only by raised somatic cell count.
