A street-washing machine model PM-130 was used for control of blood-sucking mosquito larvae in the Krasnogvardeyski district of Moscow [USSR]. The cistern of this machine of 6000 capacity permits treatment of 6.0 ha of water area at one filling. The trials have demonstrated a high productivity in working with PM-130 machine and an effectiveness in mosquito larva control. As all Moscow districts have street-washing machines, they may be used by the sanitary service for control of blood-sucking mosquito larvae.
