Equine sarcoid may be caused by a virus; this paper describes treatment of two cases by manipulation of the immune system. The lesions were infiltrated with BCG before excision and, at regrowth, BCG and sonicated, fourth-passage autogenous tumour cell culture were injected. The treatments appeared to be successful.
