Bull's-eye disease is observed in all degenerative maculopathies whether hereditary or acquired, whether primary or secondary, which have as cause an elective or obvious pigment-cell condition. In evolutionary maculardegeneration is bull's-eye disease a temporary occurrence, which precedes the diffuse depigmentation of the macular pigmentepithelium.
