Detailed immunological analyses of some patients with chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis or Trichophyton rubrum infection showed defects of humoral and cellular immunity. These defects were characterized by changes in skin activity and reduction in stimulation of lymphocytes and in the number of T-lymphocytes.
