Two cases of neuritis retrobulbaris due to Ethambutol, a new antituberculosis drug, were detected among 45 patients who had been orally administered the agent. In these cases, a sudden decrease of visual acuity occurred following hypesthesia of the lower extremities after a long administration of Ethambutol without remarkable changes of the ocular fundus. The visual acuity and visual field recovered remarkably in about six months.
