Intal was studied for its effect on the secretion of nasal mucous membrane in allergic rhinitis. The drug exerted an inhibitory effect on the fibrinolytic activity of the secretion, proportional to the concentrations used. The effect consists of blocking the conversion of plasminogen into plasmin.
