Prurigo nodularis and gluten enteropathy

Jejunal biopsies of 2 women with prurigo nodularis indicated the presence of gluten enteropathy. Both women improved on gluten-free diet, one with folic acid also, and excretion of fat in faeces decreased to normal. Although both women continued to have prurigo they were much less troubled by it.
