Fluoxetine hydrochloride (Lilly 110140: 3-p-trifluoromethylphenoxy-3-phenyl-N-methyl-propylamine hydrochloride) inhibited the metabolism of hexobarbital and ethinamate in mice and rats and prolonged the hypnotic effects of these drugs.
