Some blood respiratory function indices and the glycolytic processes in the tissues of heterothermal and homoiothermal rodents in acute hypoxic hypoxia

Altitude resistance, some indexes of blood respiratory function, aerobic and anaerobic glycolysis in the cerebral hemispheres and skeletal muscle were studied by the colorimetric method of lactic acid determination with hydroquinone in spotted sousliks [Citellus suslicus] heterothermal in normothermia and albino Wistar rats homiothermal under conditions of pronounced hypoxic hypoxia. A greater increase of preformed lactic acid and intensity of aerobic glycolysis were observed in the brain tissue of rats compared to sousliks.
