A case was reported in which motor and antidromic sensory nerve conduction studies were performed bilaterally on median and ulnar nerves. Needle electromyography was performed on the right arm. The case described typifies the considerable percentage of persons with carpal tunnel syndrome in whom a diagnosis could not be made without sensory nerve conduction determinations.
