The AA. describe a ease of a thrombocytopenic purpura appeared in a child affected by tuberculosis of tracheo-bronchial lymphonodes, during the treatement -with isonicotinic acid hydrazide (I.A.I.). After having reviewed the medical leterature regarding the possible action of I.A.I. on the blood picture and on the physiologic mechanisms of haemostasis .and regarding haemorrhagic manifestations appeared in tubereolosis, they discuss the causes (tubercolosis or I.A.I.), with could have played in the case described. The AA. try to demonstrate that suggestive elements do not exist for the -etiology either tubercolar or related to I.A.I. and they consider the purpura as the result of the concomitant action of tubercolosis and of I.A.I. through a strictily allergic reaction (in which the I.A.I. has permitted the appearance of haemorrhagies owing to a sudden liberation of tubercolar toxin in the tubercolar process.) or probably through a parallergic reaction in which the tuhercolosis has played as sensitiving factor and the I.A.I. as bursting one.
