Immunity indices under immunotherapy of surgical staphylococcal infection in children

Surgical diseases of staphylococcal etiology in most children are accompanied by changes in immune reactivity. The complex of humoral and cellular immune factors was studied under immunotherapy with specific preparations. When treating with antistaphylococcal .gamma.-globulin and antistaphylococcal plasma simultaneously antialphastaphylolysin and antileukocydin titers and phagocytosis increased in children with osteomyelitis and in many patients with lung and pleural affections. In most patients introduction of the immune preparations and changes in the immune indices were independent.
