The AA. have tried to state anesthetic use of y-hydroxybutyric acid. Supplying a fairly good number of variously premedicated patients with variable doses, it has been possible to point out its officiency on circulation, on respiration, on temperatures. Drawing conclusions, the AA. term the drug an efficient basis narcotic, harmless to metabolism, wanting good premedication and advisable to thorax and heart surgery purposes, and to obstetrics use.
