A study was made of rheological properties of donor and cadaveric blood and also of erythrocytic suspensions in the TsOLIPK-8 and Ringer solution. The curves of blood and erythrocytic suspension flow were significantly nonlinear but the apparent viscosity depended on the hematocrit index. With shift velocities of less than 1 s-1, the apparent viscosity displayed a sharp change depending on the composition of the suspending medium; with the same hematocrite index, the suspension in the TsoLIPK-8 had a viscosity 5 times greater than the donor blood. The influence of the composition of the medium on the fluidity threshold of the suspension was less, but the changes were of the same character.
