Studies of platelet aggregation coefficient and blood viscosity in 53 patients with open-angle glaucoma have revealed a statistically significant elevation of this coefficient value in the patients vs. the normal subjects. Possible mechanisms of this shift are discussed. The authors consider it useful that studies on the efficacies of drugs used in the treatment of open-angle glaucoma be carried out.
