For part 2 see NAR 42, 5390. 3. Vitamin A contents as means and ranges are reported for the livers of 38 seals (Phoca vitulina) 23 foxes, 5 badgers, 15 martens, 13 polecats, 24 stoats, 18 weasels and 35 mink. Liver vitamin A is higher in carnivores than in herbivores and increases with age.
