The susceptibility of larvae of Aedes aegypti (L.) and Culex pipiens fatigans Wied. collected in Bangkok, Thailand, to seven insecticides was investigated. Poecilia reticulata was also tested, and the ratios of the LC05's for fish to the LC95's for mosquito larvae were determined. It was concluded that methyl Dursban (O,O-dimethyl O-3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyl phosphorothioate) and iodofenphos are suitable for use against mosquito larvae where guppies are present.
