Delayed diagnosis and treatment of neglected bilateral patellar rupture may lead to a decreased ability to walk and climb stairs independently. Few cases are reported in the literature and most are associated with: a patient younger than 50 years old, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Chronic Renal Failure. This case report reviews the delayed treatment of a neglected bilateral patellar tendon rupture in a 60 years old male patient with history of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
