Five arboviruses occurring in Central Europe were tested for ability to multiply in Singh's cell line of Aedes albopictus (Skuse). Tahyna and Calovo viruses multiplied, whereas tick-borne encephalitis, Uukuniemi, and Yaba 1 viruses did not. Calovo virus multiplied at least till day 35 after inoculation and Tahyna virus until day 63. Both viruses reached the highest titre within the first week.h.
