Este es el primer informe en Chile de la aparición de especies del género Canclida resistentes a fluconazol. Una vigilancia microbiológica secuencia' puede detectar estos casos cle colonización y/o infección sistémica. Es discutible que factores como la dosis de fluconazol y el grado de mucositis e invasión vascular por catéteres, sean condicionantes del riesgo de infección.
