Sixteen species of fleas are recorded from 19 species of mammals in Egypt. Nearly all examples were collected in 1946-47. The provinces in which each was collected are noted. They include Pulex irritans L., Echidnophaga gallinacea (Westw.), Ctenocephalides felis felis (Bch.), Xenopsylla cheopis (Roths.) and Leptopsylla segnis (Schonh.).
