Gastric anisakiasis associated with bleeding gastric ulcer

A case of gastric anisakiasis associated with bleeding gastric ulcer is described in a 75-year-old man from Japan. He presented with haematemesis 3 days after eating a raw tunny (warm-water fatty fish of the genus Thunnus. He developed hypovolemic shock, and his haemoglobin concentration was 6.7 g/dl). Emergency upper gastrointestinal endoscopy showed an irregular ulcer with spurting vessel at the fornix of the stomach.
