This article points out that the rich one-third of the world's population disposes of at least two-thirds of the primary production on land. The gross inequities of this situation need to be resolved. The food-population problem cannot be viewed in isolation; all phases of human existence are involved. Much needed social reforms are pointed out in several parts of the world. New trading patterns need to be brought about. Food crops need to be substituted for feed crops.
