The toxins were extensively metabolized in rats. Biliary excretion constituted a significant route of elimination (particularly for B1 metabolites). Six groups of metabolites were found in bile and 2 were isolated from urine, 1 of which was not present in bile. The structures of 5 new groups of metabolites were not identified. Bile from B1- or G1-treated rats contained 1 glucuronide while bile from B2-treated rats contained 2.
