A case of stenosing tuberculoma of the lower esophagus is described. Treatment was by resection of esophagus and esophagogastrostomy. This rare condition occurs in elderly patients whose tuberculosis dates from the pretuberculostatic period. Other benign stenoses of the lower esophagus in elderly patients are also described.
