The diffusion coefficients of the decay products of radon (RaA) are higher than those of thoron (ThB) and their values are not influenced by the relative humidity of air for small residence times in the analyzer. The charged fraction of the decay products generally decreases with relative humidity and the decrease is more pronounced at low electric fields. While there is a significant reduction in positively charged decay products of radon at high relative humidity, the decrease is much smaller for thoron decay products. At high electric fi elds, relative humidity plays no significant role in the collection of decay products for the flow conditions studied.
