Typical allergic asthma was induced in guinea pigs with a purified protein antigen. With this experimental model of allergic asthma, the relationships between severity of asthma attacks and levels of Immoral antibodies were studied, and some immunological mechanisms involved in « hyposensitization therapy with specific antigen » were elucidated.
