Excretion of labile acid aldosterone in congenital adrenal hypertrophy

It is presented an study on the excretion of acid labile aldosterone in the congenital adrenal hyperplasia with and without salt lossing, finding in the latter, basal and after sodium depletion levels higher than in the control groups. Basal levels in three cases of salt lossing form are low and in one patient in whom the sodium depletion was carried out the basal level doesn't increase. The differences are related to a variable intensity in the 21 hidroxilating enzymatic blockage.
