To study the effects of HSV-tk/GCV system on adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) in vivo. The cell strain of ACC-M (highly metastatic to the lung) was inoculated into the flank of nude mice, then treated with HSV-tk/GCV system. The system can inhibit the tumor growth greatly, moreover this function has bystander effect. HSV-tk/GCV system can be to treat ACC.
