A double-blind controlled clinical trial has been performed in 62 patients with three pharmaceutic preparations of 2(3-benzoylphenyl) propionate gel in order to assess the optimum dose-effect ratio in disorders of joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles. The preparations employed were different in that they contained the active principle in the respective concentrations of 1%, 2.5% and 5%. From the results obtained it can be concluded that the 2.5% concentration is the most useful in therapy.
