Clinical trial of Sporlac in the treatment of recurrent aphthous ulceration

Although no exciting cause has been found, but multiple factors have been thought to be associated with the recurrent apthous ulceration in the mouth. Deficiency of vitamin B-complex, is one of these and probably the most prevalent in undernourished, population. Sporlac which effectively normalises the saprophytic flora and regularizes the bio-synthesis of B-Complex Vitamin; is being claimed to be an ideal adjunt in the prescription for the treatment of these ulcers. A Clinical trial of Sporlac was conducted to judge the claim. Results of the same, have been reviewed and discussed. On the basis of the trial and our impressions gathered so far, it can be safely concluded that Sporlac therapy is one of the best available methods to treat recurrent oral ulcerations successfully. Howsoever, it will not be out of place to mention that Sporlac therapy will only be useful in patients where the underlying aetiological factor is B-complex deficiency.
