Trifluorothymidin is at the present the best virostatic drug for herpetic infections of the cornea. F3T has numerous advantages in comparison with iododesoxyuridin (IDU). We obtained with TFT a cure after 1 to 2 weeks in 10/11 cases of epithelial or deep keratitis.
