Observations of ocular onchocerciasis in endemic regions of Mali and Upper Volta, as well as in Senegal, Ivory Coast, Guinea and Dahomey are described. The epidemiological factors affecting the degree and intensity of infection, and the severity of the ocular lesions, are discussed. Types of ocular lesions and their incidence are presented.
