Of 104 patients with diabetes mellitus and disordered lipid metabolism and haemostasis, 54 were given 20 ml linethol, a mixture of ethyl esters of linseed oil fatty acids, one daily, 30 got 50 to 65 ml sunflower oil daily with food, and 20 got sulphanylamide sugar-reducing preparations. Average duration of treatment was 29.7 days.
