Three unreleated patients showed normal distribution of fatty acids in plasma lipids and erythrocyte phospholipids. The enzymic capacity to elongate and desaturate linoleic acid in forming longer chain polyunsaturated fatty acids appeared to be normal in fibroblasts cultured from the skin.
